    Shure e4c or UE super.fi 5pro?

My experience with classic rock is the UE superfi pros are noticably weak in the mids, with recessed male vocals. Not much detail, but unamped may sound better than the e4c's. There is a good thumping bass if you like that and on voices that aren't quite so deep it is much better. For example...

    One major concern for IEM's...

Also wearing the foamies is another option. I don't think they could get stuck in my ear to the extent I couldn't remove them easily by hand. Mine are similar to earplug size.

Bass and IEMs vs cans question - (plus a superfi pro review)

I got my superfi.5 pros and I think they sound awesome when I'm listening to rap or trance (Thievery Corp., Tupac, Bjork, etc). It's strange because the beat is completely "in your head". Noise isolation is good and portable+++. The bad points are a definite lack of mids detail, the infamous...

OMFNG is music supposed to sound this good??!

I bought a pair of $200 cans after listening to $15 Sonys all my life. I was blown away. Never going back again!!! Thank you Hi-Fi for introducing me to music in a whole new way. My wallet thanks you too.

Need a neutral 1/4" small extension cable.

try: http://www.cablestogo.com/product_li...?cat%5Fid=2002 I plan on buying their 6' 3.5mm stereo m/f myself. Basically a headphone extension cord and saves me the trouble of making one myself. I'm surprised they aren't easier to find. whoops didn't see you meant 1/4'' nm...

Shure E4 vs. UE 5 Pro vs. Etymotic ER-4

Excellent advice Jasper, I will take all that into consideration. I do listen to rap so maybe the bass is better on the UE Pro and I'm not really an audiophile. However, do I want cans that sound good. Noise isolation is another important factor because my nieghbor plays the drums. I've heard...

Shure E4 vs. UE 5 Pro vs. Etymotic ER-4

Please help me decide by voting and telling me the pros and cons of each for those of you who have compared both or have done research. I've got around a $200 budget, I listen to a wide variety of music, watch movies, and play games. I'm also interested in comfort and isolation. I've read...

Please help me find new in-canal headphones before I go crazy!!!

So the sf5p is what I should get? I want good clear sound (mainly for movies), but am by no means an audiophile. However, it's also gotta sound good for mp3s around 128kps or better. Are in-canals comforatable for long use? (I have no problem with earplugs)

So for like $150 do you think I can get a decent isolating IEM with another set that blows the e4c out of the water?

Please help me find new in-canal headphones before I go crazy!!!

My next door neighbor got a drumset, and needless to say I need some isolating headphones ASAP. I will use them for movies, music from bass-heavy rap to light jazz, and some gaming. I'm looking to spend around $50-200. Alternatively, I could buy a cheap pair of in-canal and get some nice...
