Tool - Vicarious
Love the song. Only problem I have with it is the intro riff reminds me of the riff from the intro of Blackest Eye's by Porqupine Tree. For clarification the part im talking about is 21 seconds into Blackest eyes and 45 seconds into Vicarious. Mabey im crazy but they sound VERY similar. -
What's the creepiest moment in a song you like?
For me, the hands down choice is "Echoes" by Pink Floyd. Half way through the very peacful song a hole of silence with random shrieks and squeaks, sneaks its way in there. I really love the song but sometimes listening to it in the dark is a bit too intense. -
Cool radio stations
Since you live in Seattle you should probably try out 99.9 KISW for a while. They play some decent music, much better than "The End" does. And love him or hate him Ricker is definately a very memorable DJ. I still havent made up my mind about him... but its entertaining at the very least... -
Tool: Prog, Art, Metal? All? None?
Hands down my favorite song is "No Quarter", but if your talking about a song that isn't a cover, I'd go with "Third Eye". That song is just pure Tool for me and a great way to end Aenima. -

Do you prefer male or female vocals?
Im what you would call a vocal sexist. If I could chose between a male and female voice singing anything, i'll pick the male voice everytime unless he has a horrible voice. Female voices just dont sit well with me for whatever reasone, dont ask why cause I dont know. -
NEW RADIOHEAD?
When I heard about "Beatallica" I thought it would be kinda cool. I like both bands a lot and figured, why not. Good god it was horrible, this kind of stuff is the kind of idea that sounds great on paper, and like crap everywhere else. -

recommend me some good hip-hop
I gotta say, this thread converted me into a lover of (some) rap. It was hard to do, and took a while but the stand out album for me was Black Star by Mos Def and Talib Kweli. Well done Head-fi hip-hop lovers, well done. -
What Artist Takes Up The Most Space In Your CD Collection?

Tool
I just heard Salival by Tool. Not only is it the most astounding live album i've ever heard, its so taunting knowing that i've never seen them live, and wont see them live for probably a year. The songs are not only cleaner on the live version, but also MUCH more creative and mind bending. While... -

Online Jazz Streams?
Not really much of a jazz lover but my dad is always listening to the local radio station's stream. They play a bunch of Monk, Fitsgerald, and other big jazz names along with some local bands that are pretty good. From what i can tell, by listening by proxy, the SQ is pretty decent. link - The...
