I have not tried it with all the DAPs you mentioned but I find it awesome with the Sony WM1A but it really made for the DMP-Z1, this combo is sublime.

Does this firmware work with Mac OS also? What are the steps to get this firmware update if you dont mind. Thank You!

yeah unfortunately i didnt order my tube amp with the balance XLR option so until i get the preamp, single ended is the only way to go. I will try both the M17 3.5mm line out vs the Sony DMP-Z1 3.5mm headphone out directly to the ZMA tube amp to see. I will be adding dedicated preamp and DAC...

Yes, I love the Z1R pair with my DMP, to me this is the best combo but I was thinking about the IE900 for on the go to replace my Shure SE816.

has anyone compared Sennheiser IE900 to the Sony IER-Z1R? I really liked the IER-Z1R but the fit is not ideal for me for long listen sessions.

huh? i dont know what was this all about :wink: but i was only trying to say that I'd be ecstatic if the M17 destroys the DMP in term of sound quality having own both. Other than that, I am not saying the DMP is the best of anything...
