Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Back when I first got the Jot, I lived in a small apartment building. I frequently heard electrical humming noise coming from the Jot. Wrote in a couple of forums, some told me to get a power conditioner(expensive, so no), some told me to use a different plug/extension/strip(I did), some told me...- Cruxiaer

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
I have the Jot with the built in DAC, while I know its not the best I have not tried it with any other DAC so it already sounds pretty good to me. One of my friend brought over his HiFiMan HE4xx, didn't have a balanced cable so all we could try was with my phone, HTC10(with enhancement off)...- Cruxiaer

Schiit Jotunheim Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
I realised with this thread (maybe others too), that if you post anything too informative which reflects badly on the product, you get banned. I had a few friends over who listened to my basic setup and most of them said the Jot sounded thin and veiled so Amir's claim isn't all that unfounded.- Cruxiaer

I'm not sure why you wouldn't air pruduct issues on a public forum. The more people who knows about the issues and solutions the better. However I do agree that you might have got a lemon copy and should consider sending it back to Schiit.- Cruxiaer

Yes, badly built cable can cause hissing in your audio but that doesn't mean you should go for really expensive cable. Just get something reasonably well built like AmazonBasics RCA cables which go for $8.99 a pair.- Cruxiaer

Sonarworks Headphone Calibration software
I just installed True-Fi beta a couple days ago. The installation is pretty straight forward, download, install and voila! Works out of the box, no more tweaking required. What it does is that it installs an audio driver interface, all audio signal goes through the True-Fi app before it is...- Cruxiaer

Just bought the MSR7 a couple of days ago, must say I'm really impressed with the sound! Not so much with the build quality tho, but for AU$279~US$223, I really didn't expect much. I'm using the MSR7 with Jotunheim w DAC and on the go my HTC 10. It sounds great out of the box (not a big believer...- Cruxiaer
