This worked for me.

I just plan to get a cheap amp if it's needed since I will be able to buy a better one in a few months. It appears that the DT's are the only headphones in my list that really need an amp so I'll leave those for last if none of the others work out.

I couldn't find anywhere to try these on, so I'd like some help narrowing down my selection a bit, I have no qualms with returning them if I don't like them but, obviously, I would prefer to minimize that. I have also come across some more money so budget constraint is less of an issue now.  ...

Unfortunately, $200 is a hard limit but I'll keep those in mind. The k550 is on sale for about $200 on Amazon, hopefully they don't sell out before I make my decision.

Yeah you're right, I should just go and try a bunch of them on. I'll see what stores are in my area.
