Ideas for an IEM
Oh, and solid build quality. The IEMs mentioned above broke prematurely with light use for me, so I want something that will last longer. Preferably with a replaceable cord.- Cothealiv

Ideas for an IEM
Hey there. I'm pretty new to IEMs. I've had a couple pairs like the grado iGi and the Huffman re600, but I'm more of a fan of over ear style cans. I'm looking to spend $200-$300 on a pair of IEMs that most match the signature of my favorite cans that include the Fidelio x2, the oppo pm3, and the...- Cothealiv

Review by 'Cothealiv' on item 'Schiit Magni 2 Uber'
My first review! I'll keep it short. I had the original Schiit Magni for a long time. I'd give it four stars. It sounds really good for the money. A tad too bright and the treble can be fatiguing, but for $99 dollars I loved it. I feed my amps with a JDS labs ODAC playing mostly 16/44.1 flac...- Cothealiv

Tiny DAC, Big Sound, Evolved – Stoner Acoustics UD100 / UD110 / UD120
Been using my ud120 at work with my JDS C5 amp + Grado IGI's for about a month and a half now. Sounds absolutely fantastic. Lots of people seem to not like the IGI's, but to each their own.- Cothealiv

Title pretty much says it all. My set up is foobar-odac-magni-hd558 right now. Also own a pair of akg k240m old school 600ohm cans that I love for certain things. I crave more bass! You could say I'm a relapsing basshead, but I love the clarity that open headphones provide.- Cothealiv

Badass. Thanks. I usually use wasapi because its a bit easier to set up and I personally don't hear a difference.- Cothealiv

Portable DAC/Amp for use on Android to use with se846.
I use a moto g with a HiFimeDIY android DAC with USB audio player pro. Connect it to my JDS cMoyBB to use with some grado igis. Can't be happier. If I'm out and about, I just use a nine volt with the cmoy, but I use a 12v adapter with it at work.- Cothealiv

Tiny DAC, Big Sound, Evolved – Stoner Acoustics UD100 / UD110 / UD120
Thanks for the reply. I have another noon question now lol. After installing the driver, will I have to add it as a component in foobar or will foobar be able to recognize it as an output device?- Cothealiv

Noob question. Do I need the bravo drivers for win 8.1 or will windows recognize the ud120 as an audio source by default. I'm not worried about 32 384 playback. I know that's what the driver is for, I just don't need it. I'm planning on using foobar wasapi with the ud120 feeding a magni. Cheers.- Cothealiv

Sennheiser HD 558 "foam mod" Has anyone heard of this outside of 4chan's /g/ board?
I've had mine for about a month, using them for about 4 to 5 hours a day after work. Decided to try the foam mod once I figured out I wouldn't tear the velour by pulling too hard. I've noticed that the treble is a bit more clear and the bass "booms" a touch more. It's pleasing to my ears at...- Cothealiv

Stick with my AKG K240M headphones?
I found a pair of K240Ms on ebay and was able to get them for around $40. Tried to drive them with a JDS Labs cmoybb but was getting horrible distortion even with a 12v adapter. Was able to find a compatible 18v adapter, and it's a night and day difference. These little puppies sound absolutely...- Cothealiv

Got mine on ebay too. Sounded horrible at first so I took them apart because I was able to get them for $40 and figured if anything I'd just be out $40. Once everything was clean.... damn. I was amazed. I went to ace hardware and bought some window unit ac for $2.50 foam, cut circles out, and...- Cothealiv
