I don't have a comparison between the two as I don't talk about the Highs, Mids or Lows as a reviewer does but what I can say is that the Tungsten sounds fuller, more life-like, more fun to listen to all forms of music.

I have the HE 1000 V2. I have the Tungsten Single-sided. I like both. To my ears, the Tungsten is superior and a more musical can. Often with the Tungsten, I feel as if I am listening to live music. Maybe, the He1000 v2 is wider in stage and slightly more detailed - but only if you try to A/B...
