Did changing pads or cables bring the vocals forward? I've had the v4s for a few days connected to a Modi/Magni. My only complaint would be with the vocals which seemed recessed.- coredump

The Stax thread (New)
Yes. I was actually looking for the cord itself but I suppose that socket means it's a 3 prong with a generic power cord. Thanks Woops. I guess not all amps are the same. Looking at the back of the SRM-252S I see this. I guess I'll just get a 3 prong transformer and be prepared for...- coredump

I need to buy a transformer for a Stax amp but for the life of me I can't find a picture of a power cord. Does Stax use 2 or 3 prong power plugs?- coredump

Colorado 2010 Summer Meet 8/14
I haven't been on Head-Fi in a while but I still plan to be there. I'll be driving down from Montana the night before so I might be a little tired and unprepared.- coredump

Elekit TU-882 Vacuum Tube (5670W x 2) Headphone Amp
I like the HD650 on high and the K701 on low. I would describe the HD650 as warm, bass heavy, and slightly veiled. Thats just my brief opinion of it and others might disagree. I use the Audio-gd Compass and have never heard the uDac.- coredump

Keyboard-Fi
Been using the original Saitek Eclipse for many years. It's a rock solid keyboard. I've actually seen them in use at two different hospitals on mobile PC stations.- coredump

Great write up. I've never tried the DT880 but with all the praise they get I was considering getting a used pair just to see how they do. I disagree with your opinion on the Pro2500 but others have said they are pretty good so maybe it's me. I thought they were average at best. I really enjoyed...- coredump

The ATH-AD900 Thread
It looks like it comes apart rather easy with 3 screws hold the hinges together but I'd be worried about the spring mechanism falling apart once the cover is off.- coredump
