Review: 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone with In-line Microphone and Remote

I just received my LG Quadbeat 3 headphones, and these blow the 1more Triples out of the water in every aspect besides build quality. They are worth $20 and sound a million times better. One of the best IEMs I've heard.

    LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread

There are no drawbacks to using Equalizer APO that I'm aware of, besides it taxing a tiny bit of your CPU, which is most likely negligible. It should be much better than any physical EQ, as it gives you full graphical control.   Equalizer APO is so powerful, infact, that I think you can make...

I just got the QB3 normal version. I wish the bass were slightly more abundant. Just slightly. The fit is also difficult to get right. All that aside, these headphones are amazing for the price, and are probably better than all of my more expensive IEMs.

Review: 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone with In-line Microphone and Remote

I would like to know if no one else hears that gigantic dip at 8khz. Maybe I have ear wax. The measurement from Innerfidelity shows something similar. It does seem to be a common theme throughout some of my BA IEMs. Anyway, I think Equalizer APO is the best audio tool if you are just listening...

Review: 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone with In-line Microphone and Remote

I decided to run a sine sweep test, as that is a pretty good way to weed out extreme peaks and valleys by ear, and this is what I got. If you guys want to try my EQ setting to compare, you can download Equalizer APO from Sourceforge, make a -12db preamp, and make a graphical EQ with my...

Review: 1MORE Triple Driver In-Ear Headphone with In-line Microphone and Remote

I just got my pair on sale from China, so I probably can't return them. These are just okay. There is what I like to call hump-bass -- there is a mid bass bump, maybe around 100hz. Ideally, the bass elevation should not roll back down as it goes lower in frequency, but this type of bass is so...

Sony XBA-300 Impressions & Discussion Thread

I agree completely the XBA-30's are actually probably some of the best headphones ever made, period. I am waiting on the 1more triples to arrive, and hopefully they are close, as some reviews would suggest. I think with the XBA-30's, Sony demonstrated that what's objectively the best pair of...

Sony XBA-300 Impressions & Discussion Thread

I've had the XBA-300's for a few months now, and even though I have gotten used to the sound, it's just no comparison to when I switch back to the XBA-30's. The XBA-30's are unmatched in terms of having an even signature with no major spikes or faults anywhere along the entire spectrum. Yes, the...

Sony XBA-300 Impressions & Discussion Thread

Yup, I got a good seal. Maybe our ears just don't hear the same. I've tried to get accustomed to these for a few days, but I've concluded that the sound signature is an over-correction of the only real noticeable fault of the XBA-30's, which is that the high mids are a tiny bit dull.   With...

Sony XBA-300 Impressions & Discussion Thread

I just got my pair. I think this sound is a downgrade from the XBA-30, which are my favorite in ears so far.   The mid high emphasis is too much and pushes my pain threshold every time someone sings a T or S, or if the hi-hats or snare is around that frequency, which is pretty often.   The...

SONY MDR-XB40EX REVIEW: BAD BASS EARPHONES

    I'm new here, but I think it's unfair or useless to compare the Sony XB40EX to Super.fi 5eb because of price.   Sony MDR-XB40EX - $35 Sony MDR-EX85LP - $38 Sony MDR-EX90 - ~$50 Super.fi 5eb - $190  ...
