How do they fit everything?
Audio-Technica Ath-cks5tw in this case. 10mm DD, amplification, BT receiver, microphone, 3.7v li-ion battery. What kind of driver and electronics do you use to get 15hrs at 10 grams/each? 🤔- Coldcut

Vintage portable source gear - pictures
Hi, it would be nice to view not only the high-end stuff, but also the vintage source gear that are still in use, while commuting, excercising or doing something else.. It's a good reminder where we all come from and how far development has moved since. Portable MP3 Roots might be a fitting theme..- Coldcut

Mudita Pure - feature phone with HiFi potential?
Well, at least Harman seems to be involved in the audio bits. Other than that, it has an e-ink display, 1900mah battery, plays FLAC and has a price worthy an Apple product. Strange times. https://mudita.com/products/pure/specs/- Coldcut

The future of mastering": Loudness in the age of music streaming
Yep, I agree with all of the above. As I understand, Tidal is the only streaming service that actually uses LUFS for loudness normalisation. Spotify uses ReplayGain, Apple some proprietary software and the rest a mystery. All streaming services seems to be pretty consistent, with tidal at the...- Coldcut

Thats interesting! I have not that many hours with them yet, but I noticed that the difference between the 2 supplied pairs are quite noticable. But I think it would be an easy job to 3d print the plastic part that holds the ear pads to the frame and attach anything you like.- Coldcut

Fully enjoying Dvorak and Mahler on dsd recordings through the Quad Era-1 :k701smile: Really something else compared to the B&W.. Got two sets of ear pads. Think I prefer the leather ones a bit more, at least for the classical music. Now off to some Genesis, Gentle Giant, Yes and Rush! :L3000:- Coldcut

How about the sensitivity of the Quads? Are they fairly easy to drive? A friend is making a buzz about Tidal Masters, and I'm going to try it out for a month or two. Is the Audioquest Black with 1.2vrms output good enough to drive the Quads from my phone?- Coldcut
