Etymotic Research HF5 Portable In-Ear Earphones
Bought new in Europe for $100 My best IEMs, very good analytic sounding, obviously not for bass-head even though my favorite headphones are Denon D2000! High isolation but might be uncomfortable (it goes deep in ear canal) I had RE-0 as well, to me HF5 are much better, they are not bass anemic like Hifiman's I still do not know how to evaluate the price, they are MANY newcomers in the market such as JVC FX series or VSonic which can be bought for less than $100. If you need very strong isolation, don't look elsewhere! -
Grado SR60i Headphones
I had SR225, MS1i & this SR60i In Europe, MS1i probably have the best ratio price/performance but still they are not Grado. I love its unique vintage design even though it looks cheap. Grado sr60i are very good sounding, to me they are perfect for rock/metal music but not only. They are comfortable , light, but soundstage is very small for such an open headphones. SR225 was better but was not night & day versus SR60i so price difference in Europe is not justified. Newcomers, I would advice you to buy Grado 2nd hands here on Head fi... -
Sennheiser HD 25-1 II Professional Headphone
Old timer which is still the best. I love its dynamic sound but can brings fatigue after some hours. Every things is there :bass, mids & highs with good details. Every parts can be changed to make sure it will last long, The only complaints I have : it doesn't fold I think it is still the best on-the-go headphones -
Denon AHD2000 High Performance Over-Ear Headphones
I like it so much. Sold once but bought a 2nd times few weeks later. Very capable headphones, easily mod'able to perform even better. Full sound with very good bass response, slightly recesses mids and good highs. Good soundstage for a closed headphones but light isolation. Very comfortable, well built (never had issue) Will never sell it (discontinued) Buy it while you can! -
Creative Aurvana Live! Headphones
So so good headphones for the price, same as Denon D1001 which was 2/3 times more expensive. Needs to break in to sound at its best. Will give you a flavor of Denon D2000 sounds. Unbelievable value; Highly recommanded
