Hello everyone, I am looking for a recommendation for a Digital Audio Player with a similar sound signature to an Objective 2 DAC + Objective Amplifier. That is what I am currently using as my computer desktop set up ,but shortly I that will no longer be an option available to me. My budget is...- Clutz

Need a new work place listening set up
Pretty soon my work place will no longer allow us to connect our own USB devices to our work computers. That is going to put a kink in my current music listening set up which consists of a library of ALAC files played through iTunes through an Objective 2 DAC + AMP and then into one of my sets...- Clutz

Looking for a super neutral DAP that can play ALACs
Hello everyone, I'm looking for a DAP that can play ALAC files. At the moment I am using an O2 + DAC connected to my work computer and listening to ALAC files through iTunes, but shortly we will no longer be able to have our own devices plunged into our work computers, so I need to replace my...- Clutz

Getting AKG K701s repaired
Hello all, Does anyone have any experience getting AKG K701s repaired? I have an intermittent connection problem on the same side that the wire enters the cans. I've tried to do the repair myself by resoldering both of the connections to the affected driver, but the problem persists. I've...- Clutz

Looking to buy a new pair of IEMs
That sounds really interesting, I'll check it out. I was going to add that I tend to listen to a very wide range of musical genres, from stuff like Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails, The Tragically Hip, The Cure, to outlaw country (Steve Earle) and bluegrass (Alison Krauss, for example). I don't...- Clutz

Looking to buy a new pair of IEMs
Hey guys, I lost my Etymotic ER4s a few weeks ago. I kept hoping that they would show up again, but they haven't and I'm pretty sure I left them on the bus. I called lost and found, but no luck so far. Consequently it's time to buy a new pair of IEMs. I'm not against buying another pair...- Clutz

Replacements for Etymotic ER4S
What I love about the ER4S is that they don't get in between me and the music. You're probably right- I should just get another set of ER4S. Or maybe I should try out the RE-272s. Ok, you've convinced me that I should at least consider them.- Clutz

Replacements for Etymotic ER4S
Quote: Yeah, that's what I thought too. Partly I'm balking at the $300 price- I paid $200 for my first pair. At $300, I feel pretty close to $400 customs. How about Westone 3, Westone 4s or Westone UM3Xs? How much better are custom IEMs?- Clutz

Replacements for Etymotic ER4S
I think I've lost my Etymotic ER4S. I will consider replacing them with another set of Etymotic ER4S, but I thought I'd ask for any recommendations. I like how crisp and precise the ER4S are. I've also previously had the Shure SE535 and I didn't like them as much- they had better base, but...- Clutz

Can the burn-in skeptics leave us alone?
Quote: Sorry, but that's just not true. The sonic differences between headphones and/or speakers which contribute to the qualities described as 'soundstage' and 'airiness' are a reflection of the sound waves. As such, they have physical properties and they are measurable. They are...- Clutz

will i be able to get my er4p fixed?
Etymotic take good care of their customers. I mailed my ER4S into them to have mine repaired well after the warranty service, because I lost one of the transducers. Sounds moronic, I know- but it happened. Anyway, they let me replace them for $130, and I did that. About 6 months later...- Clutz

Going to buy a GPS
Hey all, I'm planning on buying a new GPS unit. I had a Garmin 660 a few years ago, but it was stolen out of our car. Ironically, we bought it because we were moving to a new city, and it was stolen from our car after we'd only been in our new location for about a week. The units...- Clutz
