Monster Turbine Pro Copper (MTPC) for $199. Personally, I've never seen a lower price for them. http://www.amazon.com/Monster-Turbine-High-Performance-In-Ear-Speakers/dp/B002EL4RIO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1338438235&sr=8-1

    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

It definitely doesn't sound fake, as the sound is on par with the MTPC I had (I can't really decide which one I like best).   My only question is, could it be a big problem that the filter is missing? I don't want my earphones to break down because of that.

Portable Headphones to replace Sony MDR-XB1000

I can't recommend anything other than the E9+E7 since this is the setup I have and I haven't heard anything pricier or better. Except perhaps the E9+E17, since from what I understand this allows you to use the bass boost function of the E17 through the E9.   If you like the sound signature...

    Monster Miles Davis Tribute thread

Hey guys, quick question.   Just got the Tributes yesterday off ebay from a seller named Blinq. Loving the sound on these, they are replacing my Coppers which broke after two years but were luckily under Squaretrade warranty. I have checked youtube videos comparing originals to fakes, and...

Portable Headphones to replace Sony MDR-XB1000

The E7 will act as your sound card, so as long as you have it plugged in through USB, it will bypass your computer's sound card. It won't matter what your computer has. I'm not familiar with the sound card you named, but unless you specifically purchased a superior one, I'd say chances are that...

Portable Headphones to replace Sony MDR-XB1000

Hope its not too late to chip in.   I've owned the ath m50s and currently have the XB1000. In my opinion, the XBs are superior in every single category, specially with regards to bass there is no comparison. Don't get me wrong, the ath m50s are the headphones I recommend most to friends who...

Senn HD 650 vs Sony XB 1000 for EDM

Interesting. What amp were you using? And what genre were you expecting to listen to with them?

Senn HD 650 vs Sony XB 1000 for EDM

So I just posted this in another thread when someone asked me what I thought about them, so I figured that I might include it here in case anybody was in a similar situation as I was regarding EDM headphones (I still haven't heard the HD 650s but I'm pretty sure I will get them in about a year...

    Sony MDR xb1000? NEw? OMG

The bass is unlike anything I've ever heard in headphones, it really goes all the way down in the frequency. I would say its not bloated or overemphasized, its tight and it makes its presence felt. I say its not overemphasized because it doesn't make you tired of listening. They are very...

Senn HD 650 vs Sony XB 1000 for EDM

Has anybody listened to both cans for EDM? I'm leaning towards the XB1000 at this point because I'm wary that I might be bored by the HD 650, although I'm afraid that the XB 1000 might not have good enough sound quality aside from the bass. I used to love my ATH M50s, but I listened to them...

Senn HD 650 vs Sony XB 1000 for EDM

I'd like to feel like im on a dancefloor, I guess what I meant by tight when describing the type of bass I look for, I mean something that isn't messy, that completely overpowers the mids. You know how theres people who have 3 subs in their cars and you can't hear anything but rumbling when they...

Senn HD 650 vs Sony XB 1000 for EDM

Are you saying that the E7 E9 can't drive the HD 650s?

Senn HD 650 vs Sony XB 1000 for EDM

I've heard that the Ultrasone 900s are a bit too sharp. That bothered me with the DT 990s, I don't want my new cans to have the same problems. Would you agree or do you think that the high end isn't overemphasized?
