The R2R 1 uses the DA-8 modules and the R2R 7 uses DA-7 modules. I don't know what the difference is between the two but I don't think the R2R1 destroys the R2R7s value. The old Reference 5 certainly did not destroy the Reference 7s value when they were around and they used the same chips.
