It’s how the you have to put in certain tubes. It’s like an adapter

    Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview

Nope, I’m going by the review posted in the first post and the FR graph. Until we have more reviews I’m not sure what you are expecting :deadhorse:

    Audeze LCD-4

I initially had the LCD-4z and used it with a Hugo 2 and my WA33. I sold it. Then I got interested in the original LCD-4 and how it would sound out of my amp. So, I took the plunge. With my WA33, the OG 4 sounds better than the 4z. The trade off though is you can’t drive it off a Hugo 2 and it...

    Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview

I guess I’m not the target demographic then. I just feel they should be doing something exceptional to standout. If that is more detail and an “airy” feel, is it doing that better than other detailed headphones (e.g., SR1a, Utopia, Stax, and likely their CRBN)? If it’s not better or equal, I’m...

    Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview

Well, tell that to Abyss 🤷‍♂️ Audeze was always considered one of the best at bass, ever since the LCD-2 (which I had). The LCD-4 had great bass and an amazing midrange that can’t be beat with electric guitars. It does that better than any other pair of headphones I’ve listened to. What is...

    HiFiMan Susvara

I live in Houston too. One of my friends refers to the city as an “audio wasteland.” Unfortunately, he is right :deadhorse:

Chord Hugo 2 on dealer discount or used. That is if the LCD-5s can be driven off them.

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements

I feel that many people in the R10P thread simply discount the headphones because Hifiman “stole” the cup design from Sony. There’s a lot of nostalgia with the Sony MDR-R10, but not with me. I couldn’t care less that they have the same cup design. For closed-back headphones with Bluetooth...

What headphones have you grown out of?

Grado RS1e. I loved them when I first got them, and they kinda introduced me to high quality sound. As I got more experienced in headphones, I quickly learned that other headphones pretty much do everything better (of course at an increased cost though)

Why Closed Back Headphones Sound Worse Than Open Back

It's because sounds reflect off the ear cup with closed-back headphones. With open headphones there's substantially less reflection.

    HiFiMan Susvara

I finally gave a proper listen to the latest Wolves In The Throne Room album. It's pretty good, and the Susvaras really shine with it, in terms of imaging and spacing.

Dan Clark Audio Stealth Review, Interview, Measurements

I recently got the Hifiman R10P, which I think is one of the best closed backs you can buy (and absolutely the best pair of Bluetooth headphones you can buy, when you use the BlueMini add on). You might want to take a look at those too. They are more expensive than the Stealth though. I had the...

Have you heard the new Linear Tube Audio Z10e amplifier?

I’m wondering, is LTA going to sell a discounted combo for the Z10e + Stax SR-X900? If so, I’d be very interested. I mean they sell a SR-009S + Z10e discounted combo, so maybe a SR-X9000 combo is a possibility

    Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview

I have mixed feelings about this. The market may be too saturated with new headphones. Perhaps it would be better to hold off on the Utopia 2 and wait until there is a time where they could have the limelight for longer. I'm no business expert though, so who knows? 🤷‍♂️
