Both my JH Audio Rox and Layla did not have background noise but I do notice they need to be driven a bit so thinking they are not as sensitive as I had originally thought. Worth saying I did not engage any filters either as I used both DACs in the purest way possible.

I did see that less than stellar review and thread. Was hoping it was not reflective of how others felt about the product. Met the guy behind Mytek personally and honestly felt bad to see the fallout from that Audioscience “discussion”. Is that why no one here is talking about the BB2?!

Does Kensei have support for ALAC? I asked because I have one in hand and it sounds great but out of Apple Music it does not change from a 44.1 to any other bitrate. Note that Tidal works perfectly on this front and the device notates the various bitrates along w MQA.

just got a mojo2 and running out of my MacBook on Tidal. For some reason, it always shows playback at 44.1 (red light) no matter the quality. I see MAX and have Tidal playback set to max. They are NOT MQA tracks but say FLAC so any help is appreciated. Kinda stuck!

Just picked up the GBK and will post impressions once I get it and have some time to process the SQ. Was back and forth w this vs Mojo2 and since I use Tidal, went w the one that supports MQA. I am a little concerned about noise w my JHA IEMs but will see what happens once in hand.
