FiiO X7/X7MKII/X5III || New firmwares are available for the X7/X7MKII/X5III
Thanks for the update. Are there any changes in the firmware itself, or is it only 1.2.3 code + new FiiOMusic app reassembled as 1.2.4, since the FW changelog is the same as just FiiOMusic 1.1.0 ? -
Fiio X5 3rd gen || 2x AKM 4490 || Balanced Out || DSD || DXD | DTS | Android || Dual Card Slot
some useful (hopefully to someone) info to stop FiiO logging into the sdcard/FiiOLog/ on every boot and during runtime. Here are the scripts responsible: /system/bin/get_battery_data /system/bin/get_battery_log /system/bin/get_log to disable logging you have to comment out the code inside those...- chucky27

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
just got my first pair of Chinese ear pads for HD800, thickness looks almost the same as my current originals (~11mm) softness seems the same, but only real-world usage will show how fast they start to flatten, looks very well made, considering the price. Fabric is cheaper, still ok, but later i...- chucky27

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
I'm definitely not feeling the buyer's remorse. It completely replaced HD650 as main HP. Already had some 'oh wow' moments esp. with acoustic instrument performances ). Works for almost all of my music. My soundstage 'issue' with it was partly music material-related and partly over-expectation...- chucky27

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Heh, I ordered these yesterday (just to see how close they can come to the original, will buy originals anyway) and wanted to ask the same question. Delivery estimation: end of May - end of June. Can do the small review on them once they arrive, if anyone is interested.- chucky27

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Thanks for for the feedback guys, It's not that i find the differences between 650 and 800 small or smth, it was only related too my (seemingly overhyped) expectation of soundstage differences. Detail, speed and instrument separation is clearly better than 650. Now i've listened a bit more...- chucky27

The (new) HD800 Impressions Thread
Hi, I've just joined the HD800 club (good deal on 1year used pair with SDR mod). Have couple of questions: 1) Earpads: cleaned and disinfected them, fabric is in very good condition, but I can't tell if the foam is too compressed or not. Can somebody please measure the pad thickness, i would...- chucky27

Review of Meier Audio Corda JAZZ with ƒƒ-technology upgrade
Thanks for the info. I have no issue with hearing sound when it's turned down, just wanted to know if that was expected and not a malfunction.- chucky27

Review of Meier Audio Corda JAZZ with ƒƒ-technology upgrade
Hi, I have audio-gd DAC-19 and Corda Jazz-FF driving HD650 and I can hear music clearly even if i turn down the volume to the lowest value and low gain. Does anyone know if that is expected behavior (because of too 'hot' dac output) ?- chucky27

New Audio-gd DAC-19 [10th Anniversary Edition]
Apparently there's a new revision of DAC-19 on audio-gd web page - now comes with HDMI instead of BNC input (4 inputs in total with input selector having one more numbered step). Wonder if you can do the same mod for back panel on your own (having both USB and I2S) or some PCB changes were made too.- chucky27

Audio-gd USB-32 Firmware, Drivers, and Feedback Thread
As I recall audio-gdusb32fwversion3 contains only 1 new firmware FirmwareLinux1.bin, which was a test firmware aimed to fix some compatibility issues in Linux. It was available on audio-gd main page for short time. Other firmware files in the package are the same as in "public"...- chucky27
