The Sp200 gets pretty warm after a while and my cat likes it!

Agree on the velours. The bass sounds less impactful and muddier to me. On the upside, they're way more comfortable than stock pads. I can wear the velour for hours whereas the stock pads would hurt my ears and get hot real quick. Good to know that the sheepskins are a major improvement.

Haven't heard the Klipsch or the Nexus stock but I'll tell you one thing, the Eterna was what got me started on audio stuff. I'll be many times richer now if not for the Eterna. Although I've moved on to higher end stuff now, I still miss the sound every now and then.

Never tried that before as I've sold my x10 long before getting the er4. But if you could get the klipsch's dual flange to fit it will increase comfort greatly.

In that case, you gotta be ok with really deep insertion to get the best sound outta er4. Honestly speaking comfort wise, the difference is night and day for me. YMMV though. But the difference in SQ is worth the tradeoff.

If you're moving away from the x10, you're looking at a downgrade in terms of comfort. Triple flanges aren't for everyone. Although the foam tips are much more comfortable. If comfort is your main concern, buy another x10. You also mentioned you like bass, coming from the x10, you'll probably...
