Topping DX7 - DAC and balanced headphone amplifier
Sorry I noticed you are using integrated amp. I mean if I can directly connect the Dx7s to a poweramp and use the Dx7s as pre-amp (i.e, volume control).- cheungtsw

Topping DX7 - DAC and balanced headphone amplifier
I mean to connect the DX7s to a power amp instead of pre-amp or integrated amp. I know in theory it works but wondering how good it is.- cheungtsw

Current/Upcoming DACs based on AK4499 chip?
Wonder if dual 4497 (i.e., D70) is a better product? One thing I dont like about these Chinese DAC is they never update the firmware/driver though.- cheungtsw

How to choose between Vali, Valhalla & Lyr ?
Because 1. Saga S takes 1 tube while Valhalla takes 4 and I want to has the most tube sound 2. My next upgrade will be an integrated amp so I dont want a pre-amp The Lyr and the Saga S takes a single 6SN7 not sure how it compares to Valhalla though.- cheungtsw

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
I am torn between MK3 and Valhalla 2. Seems Valhalla 2 has much less choices in tubes but some says Val 2 is a much better amp. Any opinions? ps. I am currently using the FX audio tube 3 with GE JAN5654W as tube buffer.- cheungtsw

Portable tube amp from china?
How much tube sound I can get from the little bear b5? I am more interested in the tube sound than the amp portion. I have the pioneer 30R & UE900s. If it is on the same level as FX audio tube buffer I would be very happy.- cheungtsw

FX Audio Tube-03 and GE 5654W
Does this combo works? My tube-03 works fine with the original tube and can only get 1 channel to work (the non-working channel sounds very faith) if I use the GE5654W. Does Tube-03 & GE5654W works? As I know the Tube-03 are cabled in series so if 1 tube is faulty there should be no sound on...- cheungtsw

iFi Audio iOne official thread - There can be only one!
Think about it. 1. If all filters on the same device sound the same, why would the manufacturer implement 1 single filter only or firmware update? 2. If all DACs sound the same, why there are different manufacturers and/or single manufacturer with multiple DACs. 3. Does it make sense, if...- cheungtsw

I trust my ears. I swear I can even hear the different between the latest version v5.3c of the firmware vs older firmware as they changed the filter all together and forced oversampling. The latest firmware sounds un-nature to my ears.- cheungtsw
