I’ll be blunt to say that the OG is a tad bit dry compared to the more energetic Noir. So OG give that impression of details.

I done the update via OTA as well, on the latest firmware while playing music, switching on / off ultimate mode affect the sound directly, as if the cymbals suddenly has lower sound and lack of dynamics when ultimate mode turned on.

i give the latest firmware (2.022.131 via OTA) a try, using the same playlist, D1 filter, volume, gain and ultimate mode now everything sound boomy compared to the stock firmware (1.03.209) but the good thing is UI become smoother and night mode is there.
