Re-Capping Woo Audio WA3
Thanks Bagwell359 for chiming in. I guess I listen for any 'abnormally' or what I think could be an abnormally. I am just a basic amateur DIYer with no electronic education. I do have a multimeter and I can check certain things and figure out a few things based just on logic and experience...- Capt. Z

Re-Capping Woo Audio WA3
The first cap that went bad is located close to the power tube socket. One of the pins had come out of the cap. So I replaced both with some Nichicon Caps that Jamato8 suggested. Then later on the amp started to get noisy, so I replaced the one cap in the PSU with the exact cap that was in. So...- Capt. Z

Re-Capping Woo Audio WA3
In the past I had 2 caps in my (about 20 year old) Woo3 going bad. I have changed them out, but now I wonder if anyone has re-capped their Woo3 and what caps did you use.- Capt. Z

I have had a similar issue before as well and it turned out to be a bad cap in the power supply. However, if that was the case with your amp it would have shown up at the repair shop. It also could have been a bad connection somewhere in the amp, but then again that should have shown up in the...- Capt. Z

Sounds like you either pick up noise with your RCA cable or a ground loop problem. I would first listen to the amp without any RCA hooked up to eliminate the RCA cables. If there is noise I would just LIFT (unhook) the ground on the AC plug or use an 3 to 2 prong AC adapter. If it still persist...- Capt. Z

That was my thought as well, therefore the low price, which includes shipping in the US. I use Dekoni Earpads and don't need or use these, and they are to good to be just thrown into the trash. Basically, I just would like for someone to benefit from a cheap replacement pad.- Capt. Z

For sell is a Crown XLS 1502 amp. I bought this as a subwoofer amp when I still lived in Europe, but now use a different amp for my subwoofer here in the US. Amp was only used a handful of times and is still in very good condition. Everything works fine. This is a 230 - 240 Volt amp, so you...- Capt. Z
