Yeah, if you just got those phones your gonna want to wait a good 100 hours or so before they start really sounding like they should. Well that depends on what you mean by loose. What I mean is that it shouldn't need to be stretched tight, a little give is alright, as long as your not getting any slippage while playing your albums, your fine. Put belt on waist, balance record on nose, spin and violla! JK JK Anyways I don't think anywhere you stated what kind of turntable you got. (Or if it's used or not, sorry I only skimmed this topic ) Either way, you should just remove the platter, there will be a motor and a big round disk...- CanadianAudioFan

I have a few Records with a little dishing, Im also looking for a "price thats right" record clamp. But it needs to work with a Pro-ject Debut III. Any recommendations for a sort of universal record clamp, (spindle isn't too high on the pro-ject either.)- CanadianAudioFan
