Sennheiser HD 218/228 - Are they THAT bad?

Got mine a few days ago, and I'm pretty happy with them so far. Bass isn't overpowering, but it is noticeable- nowhere near the level of bass in the hd202. They are very comfortable, and isolation is very good. I am listening to them beside a very loud tv right now, and can't hear the tv at all...

    Kitchen Knife-fi

I have a few pieces from the Victorinox Forschnner (sp?) line. Nothing special. Once I graduate college, and move into a place of my own I will probably buy a nice set of Wusthoffs.

    Moleskine fans?

I bought one a few months ago for the first time. I have been keeping it in my back pocket and using it as a journal writing about four pages in it a day. It is holding up well to the abuse that it is being put through. I have always journaled, and so far have been pretty happy with what I have.

    coffee gadgets...

I drink A LOT of coffee. I use a Bodum french press and a standard blade grinder. Although, I will use an old Mr. Coffee machine if I am in a hurry. I have been thinking about getting some of the Bodum insulated glass mugs. Anyone used them?

HDMI & HDTV picture quality questions, need help

As far as HDMI vs. component, on most sources, you are only going to be able to carry up to a 1080i picture via component. Since most channels are only broadcasting at 1080i at the time that I am writing this, you probably won't see much difference in the picture. However, most stations will be...

Lightweight linux distro for picture frame

I have seen recommendations for Bonzai before. I use Ubuntu, and consider myself fairly versed in Linux, but I don't have any experience with Bonzai at all. I would consider it, but look for some more information before dedicating your hardware based solely on my words. BerliOS Developer...

    Need LCD TV advice

I work at Best Buy. Get a Samsung. They have higher contrast ratios (better color), and more inputs/features than any other tv on the market in that size. Check CNet or Consumer Reports, they will tell you same thing. They make some Sonys that have just as good of a picture, but you pay a lot...

Watches - another passion of ours, it seems...post your pics!

Here is my Hamilton King Khaki: Got it right before Swatch bought the company. Even though it uses ETA movement, it is probably one of the last great American-made watches.
