I wonder if anyone on this thread (or forum) has ever used any of the higher-end A&K players, and if so, does more $ buy you better shuffling (shuffling thru the ENTIRE library, not just a small part of it) or auto-leveling? These really are my only 2 beefs with the Junior. I keep reminding...

Mine will play about 6-7 hrs w/o any turn-on of the screen, or changing songs -- just straight-on playing tunes w/ its (poor) shuffling. Those are the days when I forget to switch on the wall-wart (or I take it on the road to play in the car while on road trips.)

The lowly Sansa Clip did well with Auto-Leveling. Years ago, I had a Rio Karma which sounded pretty good but did the shuffle VERY well. Unfortunately it had other issues. Looks like you have used many, MANY DAP's over the years !

Have you had any experience with either the Sony HAP-Z1ES or HAP-S1 players (neither are portable players?
