I think they're really comfortable. I'm a bit of a bass head but I think the sound quality on them is spot on. The cable is an annoyance but I normally keep it tucked underneath my shirt so it's not a big minus for me.

I'll offer my limited experience with higher end headphones even though I'm fairly new to this game.   OWN:   Sony MDR v700 - My first decent headphones. Sounds good when amped, but a little thin otherwise. No isolation so they can't be used outside. Also they cause my ears to fatigue...

For the past year or so, I have owned a pair of Sennheiser IE6's and really enjoyed them. I loved the warmth in the sound and how much detail I could hear with them. Granted, the headphones that I owned before this were rather cheap so anything would sound better in comparison.  ...
