List of DACs that work with iPad

Ive been down this road to make a squeezebox touch on the not so cheap using the iPeng app.  (but I used an iPad 3).  The 30pin CCK to USB DAC was fine but it will not charge.  upto 24/96 in to my Audiolabs MDAC.  Bonus was the MDAC had a digital preamp which was controllable by the iPad (and...

    Oppo HA-1 Impressions Thread

A couple of questions regarding this.   1.  Does the front mobile input accept a full range of bitrates or limit it to 48KHz of the iphone dock mode?  Does it charge the device at the same time (vs. using the CCK which allows higher bitrates but doesn't charge).?  Can you control the volume...

    ios7, iPhone and Apple CCK

I can confirm that ios7.1 now works with the MDAC with 24/88 and 24/96 material via the CCK on an ipad3.   Before the introduction of ios7 it worked as well, but with 7.0.x it would stutter on high sample rate material.

    ios7, iPhone and Apple CCK

There is a general "slowness" to ios7 on the ipad3, yes. Most things it's not perceptible but changing the background for example used to be instant, it now takes 20 secs to register. However hardly no issue with ios7 on my iPhone 5.

    ios7, iPhone and Apple CCK

I'm running an iPad 3 via cck to audiolabs mdac via iPeng and Flacplayer apps. Prior to ios7, 24/96 files played perfectly but now I get stutter. Most of the chatter in pro audio circles (as in usb midi input vs output) is that there are bugs in ios7 usb dac support that may also affect...

    [Impression] FiiO E10

Just got my E10 in the mail last night.  I am using it to drive Ultrasone HFI-580s for right now (not a particularly demanding pair of cans) but am less concern with the headphone amp and plan to use this as a cheap USB DAC for my HTPC to feed my 2 channel system sporting B&W CM9s via the coax...
