    Shure SRH1540 Review

I'm sure science will say that the sound will resonate or reflect or something differently within the earpad when it is in different positions, but I have no idea really. You should flip them around, listen, and see if you can tell a difference.

They are designed to go the other way (wider in back, thinner in front) but it all depends on the shape of your head. Whichever way seems more comfortable to you, is how you should wear them.

    Shure SRH1540 Review

I'm betting they will sound near identical to the non-angleds of the same material, so no worries there. The only concern I would have is if they fit well (ie, do they completely seal around your ear). If they do, then you're good to go, imo

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Yep, just pull em off. I was scared when I first did it, but you'll see how easy it is afterwards.   One thing to keep in mind when putting them back on is to avoid getting the sticky backing on the piece of felt that covers one of the driver holes. (Again, I have the 840, so I'm not sure...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

I don't have the 880 so I'm not sure how the velours are, but the 840 pads are reuseable. The sticky backing they have seem to stay sticky for a long time. I've had my pads off and on multiple times since I got my 840s and I think I bought the headphones a month or so after they were...

Headphones similar to the Kenwood KH-K1000?

Thanks for the input. I'll check DT880s out.

Headphones similar to the Kenwood KH-K1000?

So I have a Kenwood KH-K1000 that has snapped at one of the plastic yokes(?) that connects the handband/swivel area to the ear cups. The headphones still work fine, but they don't sit right on my head anymore and I haven't really been able to fix the break. I'll probably get around to figuring...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

I sorta feel that way about my 840's(in comparison to my DT 770s), but I believe the ultrasones are pretty sensitive when it comes to ear placement within the ear cups. Could be because of how their "s-logic plus technology" works.   Try fiddlin' around with ear placement, might help alleviate...

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

They make the ear pads in pleather or velour, so people can switch between them if they wish. Why they chose to go with an adhesive backing instead of the normal "gasket" type fitting is anyone's guess, but the adhesive ring/ear pad is definitely designed to be removable and replaceable.

    Ultrasone New performance Series: 840, 860 & 880 (First post last update : 2014/12/07)

Yeah they can. They're attached to the headphones by a sticky adhesive ring on the back of each ear pad. All you have to do is pull them off. (One of the ear pads on my 840 was a bitch to pull off tho, so be prepared, lol) The ring appears to stay sticky even after you remove it, so you can...

    IEMs w/ remote + mic, over-the-ear design

The ME Electronics M6 Pro might be something to check out. I don't actually own it(I own the predecessor, the Sport-Fi M6), but I think they're slightly U-shaped in sound signature with enhanced(possibly harsh with some music?) treble. But for what they cost, they offer quite the value imo...

    Looking for new headphones (advice)

The beyerdynamic DT150 might be something to check out, i think. I believe I heard someone say they are like the HD650 but with more bass. I haven't heard them though, and I don't know how well the Fiio e17 will drive them. Theyre closed back headphones tho, so I dunno if you want that. Just...
