Looking for someone to build a Linkwitz X-feed
Hi there, I am looking for en experienced DIYer to build me a modified Linkwitz/Chu Moy crossfeed from the kit sold by tangentsoft and house it into a small and portable case with proper connectors (in and out minijack) and selectors (bypass and mode). It will be used in a compact portable...- brospin

Linkwitz notch filter
Output impedance is < 1 Ohm. I already have tried the filter in the way you mention, using a 10 Ohm resistor at each terminal. The result is sonically perfect, same as when used in an amp with single ended ouput. My only concern was if it is safe for the amp to "short" between two active...- brospin

Cmoy and 250 ohm
You can choose opamp and gain factor to the desired level so you have enough power available to drive the Beyers. My Cmoy has a low gain factor (that I don't remember) and drives the DT880 (250 Ohms) well. Chu Moy's original design has a gain factor of 11x. That's very high and I guess you'll...- brospin

Linkwitz notch filter
I experimented with a DIY notch filter for flattening the frequency response of the Etymotic ER4S, buitl according to Linkwitz's specs with this general schematics. I tried it at the output of several single ended headamps with excellent results. Now I have built a similar notch filter for...- brospin

Cmoy recommendations needed
I already have the basic Cmoy mounted on a protoboard with a resistive voltage divider. I'd like to improve the power supply but don't know which of the two main methods described by tangentsoft to use (TLE 2426 or OPA 634). I already have the crossfeed that tangentsoft sells assembled and...- brospin

Cmoy recommendations needed
I would much appreciate recommendations for building a Cmoy for portable use, powered by a single 9V battery. Main features are the following: - Based on Chu Moy's original design with no input coupling caps and no output resistors. - OPA 2227 as preferred opamp (socketed, though, and...- brospin

Best replacement cable for K1000?
Has anyone tried the APS V3 replacement cable (hardwired) for the K1000? How does it compare to the Equinox hardwired? Is there any current consensus about the best hardwired cable for the K1000?- brospin

Almarro A205A MkII for K1000
I have no idea about the use of resistor in series to match impedances, but someone told me about the need to use external resistors if the headphone out of the A250A is used for driving low impedance phones. Resistors in parallel are often used when power amps are used to drive the K1000. I do...- brospin

Almarro A205A MkII for K1000
It seems that the A250A is not a good headphone amp and in my case I would in the end use it for the K1000 only. And for that use I also have other contenders, mainly the Sig 30.2. It's not easy to fins a versatile amp that is capable of driving both the K1000 and "regular" phones. The RKVII and...- brospin
