It's not just matching Qobuz, Tidal is the only lossless streaming option at $20/mo (that I know of). Deezer Hifi is $15, Qobuz is $15, Amazon HD is $15. I really hope they lower.

Curious is any/many of you have cancelled Tidal or Qobuz for Amazon HD? I'm temped to, at least until Tidal drops price or Qobuz gets their catalog on par.

Amazon NEEDS to fix the fact that some albums have a mix-match of bit depths/sample rates where the same album has some tracks "ULTRA HD" and others just "HD". That's a huge mess. An album should never vary.

Qobuz could be the clear winner if they get their catalog updated. And it seems like they are doing this as a lot of what it was missing on my trial is currently there. Still a ways to go. Deezer is another service I'm actually enjoying their UI and recommendations. But again, needs more work...

What are these tracks on Tidal? It could be the label or owner passing them off as flac regardless of service..

I know they're still technically beta, just now a public one. Have they said anything about when they expect their catalog to be fully updated? That's still the main put-off right now with Qobuz vs. Tidal. Qobuz is missing so much.

I have Qobuz set up to stream up to 24/96 over WiFi, and just 320 mp3 over cellular. So while I'm at the gym or driving around it's only 320 which is fine for those settings and doesn't take forever to stream the file. Same with Tidal -- Lossless over WiFi and 320 over cellular.

Agreed -- I do like to own hi-res files of my favorite albums. If it's an album I'll always go back to I like support it.
