Thanks for the reply. Must admit, the mic comes in handy when the phone rings. Looking around, it doesn't appear that anyone makes the cable with the mic? In which case, I'll do as you suggest.- brady7

Hello, I just lost signal in the left channel on my UE triple fi 10vi on the train home, it looks like the cable is fraying just the other side of the jack (not bad i guess, looks like I bought them in Dec '09). 1. Is it simple to fix the cable? reading on amazon, people seem to be...- brady7

Hey there. Do you think it's ok to place the zero on it's side, kind of like the way the dac magic can? (I've got space constraints) I would build some kind of base for it, like the dac magic. & if it's ok, which way up do you think it should go, ie, headphone jack near the top or the bottom...- brady7

Grado SR60 replacement pads
I know this has been discussed a lot, but the info is kinda scattered... The original pads on my SR60s are rotted out (I've had them for years). From reading around, it seems the choices are: Replace with same. Replace with bowls, found on higher grade models. Replace with Sennheiser...- brady7

Re the hum issue, I don't hear it from the speakers or 'phones, but the machine itself does have slight audible hum from about 4 feet away. It should be dead silent, right? Strange thing is, I think it was silent out of the box, but one day I happened to notice it, before reading about the...- brady7

I recently acquired this dac/amp, mainly thanks to this review. I bought it from ebay seller wsz, no complaints, but I thought his "upgraded version" had OP627 Dac & LT1364 'phone (could've sworn I read somewhere in ebay comments that that was the case, but coincidentally he just answered...- brady7
