MOONDROP X CRINACLE DUSK NOW AVAILABLE
How much bass boost are you EQ'ing? I get great results with the blessing 3 with a 6.7dB-10.1dB boost around 45Hz with some smaller changes around 20, 46, 81Hz. Most people seemed to have had good results with EQing the B3 - I'm assuming it uses the same HODDUS drivers in the blessing dusk.- Bop

[FiiO UTWS5] True Wireless Bluetooth Earhooks as Usual,Coupled with Independent AK4332 DAC
Is anyone having microstutter and clipping issues with Samsung devices (s23ultra in my case) and the UTSW5? While Samsung isn't compatible with snapdragon sound I don't have any issues with LDAC @ 96kHz with other bluetooth devices (smsl or hidizs ap80pro)- Bop

The Kiwi ears Quintet Thread:
Thank you! I ended up using the autoeq function on squiglink since the autoeq site didnt have native measurements of the quintet yet. This IEM responds very well to EQ - the borderline airiness that pushes it to a semi-siballant/piezo timbre is easily reduced (I'll have to fine tune it later -...- Bop

I apologize if I obliquely asked this before but did you prefer the bridge over the hook-x? The tonality of the latter seemed to have more of an analog charm but I'm limited to only my auditory memory. (Currently using the equilibrium filters + 0/1 configuration for the bridge)- Bop

For convolution filters do you use MorphIt, the IEM EQ tool from Squiglink, or something else?- Bop

The Kiwi ears Quintet Thread:
I think the "timbre" issue is the typical piezo sound of the treble which reminds me a little bit of the KZ ZEX. The quality is not necessary plasticky but sort of styrofoamy? The overall response seems pretty smooth. I wasn't really floored by the quintet, but it doesn't have any obvious...- Bop

RAPTGO HOOK-X In Ear Monitor
Could I ask what tips / tuning adjustments you use? Most reviews I've seen had negative opinions on the upper mid/treble regions that screwed with the timbre - I really do like raptgo for exactly the reasons youre describing so I'm interested.- Bop

Found a great review (cc for English translations) - having an IEM sound check (replay recording of various IEMs) with test tracks like they do for speakers was illuminating (I wish this could become a standard). Measurement changes with different tip sizes are also shown.- Bop

How would you compare the Quintet with the Raptgo Hook-X (both having some planar + BC piezo elements)? Does the bone conduction driver add anything extra to the lower end?- Bop

The Dawn is here——another full balance solution for your mobile device
I would highly recommend anyone who has one of these to not have IEMs/headphones on when playing (or to double check the volume level first) by default the volume is set at 100% 😅- Bop

TINHIFI P1 MAX “Giant Panda" Universal In-Ear Monitor
I do highly recommend checking: (Crinacle's EQ tutorial out) https://squig.link/?share=Crinacle_Adjusted_Target,Tin_Hifi_P1_Max < is the same tool that he mentions but doesn't require subscription 8K is significantly higher than 11 of the 12 target/reviewer preference curves but has very...- Bop

TINHIFI P1 MAX “Giant Panda" Universal In-Ear Monitor
Some preliminary EQ settings (from using: https://squig.link/?share=Crinacle_Adjusted_Target,Tin_Hifi_P1_Max) that add a lot of naturalness to the sound. I do recommend trying at least the second. Crinacle Neutral Target: Preamp: -3.8 dB Filter 1: ON PK Fc 3300 Hz Gain 4.0 dB Q 1.800 Filter 2...- Bop

RAPTGO HOOK-X In Ear Monitor
Just received my pair - took around 10 days to ship from Amazon (US) - a bit early for impressions but the fit is more comfortable than the P1 Max for me. Reviewer mentions that there were differences in the stock tips from (more bass) black > white > green (less bass) - just curious if...- Bop
