I chose MSB Premier as well, after several other DACs. I, personally, prefer R2R DACs, and agree that the Digital Director simplifies server choice. I use a NUC running ROCK to the Renderer in the MSB.

Look at post #42 in this thread. 2 different sockets. Left (dark) for Stax. Right (light) for the HE60 & HE90. These have different pin arrangements, and bias levels. Justin only does 2 Stax plugs on current units.
