I had a related issue, but is not the earpiece. The left connector (male) is loose when is placed in the left/right earpiece, maybe if I kept using the cable the sound would start to cut. Hopefully, when I buy them, I take the replacement cable too. I tested (and start using) the silver cable...

I had a problem with the cable of the Pro, and have nothing bad to say about Tony, good support from him

thanks for all your feedback. In the end, after reading a couple of reviews (OP included) I decided to order a Tennmak Pro plus extra cable and a couple of foam tips. Spent less than buying the VSD3S/M6 Pro, so I'm happy with that. When they arrive I'll leave my impressions here :)

with the new build quality of the VSD3S, is hard to choose between them, the Tennmak Pro and the MEE M6 Pro...

  I guess that the housings are now well joined, the cable is not stiff and decolored and the 90 degree jack does its job... well, that's great :)
