Should I buy the HD 6XX? I'll be using no amp.
There's a few things I would touch upon. 1) You do have an AMP and DAC. They are just integrated onto your motherboard as opposed to on an Add-In-Card/External. 2) I only play for fun, but I do play Clone Hero and have never had an issue with latency across the few DACs I have used. 3)...- Biscuitboy

ATTICUS and EIKON, the new dynamic driver headphones from ZMF
Also just received my pair of Eikon Blackwood from ZMFNovember, Really enjoying them so far, and as per the usual, Zach's craftsmanship and woodwork is fantastic. My last pair of closed back headphones were Sennheiser 569's and I really am happy to have a pair of headphones that specializes in...- Biscuitboy

ZMF Verite Open
Just got my Eikon Blackwood from ZMF November this monday and I find it to be a REALLY good pairing with the VO. A wonderfully appropriate amount of punch and sub bass extension and considering both are biocellulose one is Beryllium and one is Biocel, I'm not sure why I expected anything else...- Biscuitboy

I'm coming from a pair of HD800s not HD800, but the Verite has definitely been an overall great upgrade to them.- Biscuitboy

Yeah Zach threw one in with my order which I placed before they were out. I was interested in the Bocote and Katalox and I'm really happy that the stand that I got is 98% dark Katalox because my pair of Verite Cocobolo is a dark wood too.- Biscuitboy

ZMF Verite Open
Just got mine in today and it was exactly what I was hoping it to be. Good sound stage like the HD800S that I own but a bit warmer and much quicker and impactful lows. I just listened to Phantom Pt. II by Jusice and the beginning of the song is just a perfect fit to demonstrate the kind of low...- Biscuitboy

My pair is in the Assembly phase. I'm thoroughly excited at this point. Hopefully I get them in time to get to use them for a little while before I make bad decisions and buy the closed back version...- Biscuitboy

Sennheiser HD800 S Impressions Thread (read first post for summary)
Returning product has be an assumed cost. And unless the manufacturer of the pads want to publish the frequency response data then I think that they should expect the occasional return.- Biscuitboy
