hi, i just got these cans secondhand, the seller said he used them only for 10 hours, i find them to be unbearably sibilant and bright on most recordings, is this the result of lack of burnin?

i actually do like the esw9s but it seems too colored compared to the tf10 and the etys my brother recently bought a um3x and i tried listening to it, and it seems just like a more refined ety   how about any other cans that can be driven by the soundcard? i really dont want a desktop amp...
