Currently running my LD mkiii with Voshkod driver tubes to power my HD800's [not HD800S] and really like the pairing. Definitely a relatively cheap and easy upgrade over the stock tubes.

Currently using my LCD-3's with an audio_gd NFB-28 and they seem to pair very well. The warmth of the 3's is offset by the neutrality of the audio_gd amp for a slightly warm but still natural sound. I'd look into the dacless version as a possible alternative for the mjolnir.

Very happy with the pairing of my LCD-2's with the audio_gd NFB-28, the balanced output specifically has great bass impact and extension. Mostly use it with my LCD-3's since I've upgraded but it still is a good compliment for the 2's.

Recently I have been running my 2016 LCD-3 from an Audio-gd NFB-28 through a balanced cable and my god the extra power really wakes these cans up. Comparing between the SE and XLR jacks on the amp (more to compare how much the extra output power affects sound quality than SE vs Balanced...
