Very curious to hear those thoughts. I have it and I like it balanced with my N5ii but the only comp I have is to the stock un-balanced cable.

If you look closely there is a small key-way between the pins. The socket on the IEM has a corresponding ridge

Once I found the measurements in that thread, I got out the calipers to measure a bunch of my stuff and came up with 12mm or M. Amazon had them on Prime so I pulled the trigger. I'm kind of in-between M/L other brands so we'll see. I saved this off for future reference JVC Spiral Dot sizes...
