So guys I got oppo HA-2se and planned to get Aune x7s as an amp. I also got modi 2 as I previously posted. Do I still need better dac?

I got mix feeling about ad2000x. Overall, it a good headphone with enough details, but it lack bass extension or you can say it produce control but boring bass. Good point is sound stage is extremely close! However, this mean that vocal sometime got cover by instruments.

So you want upgrade version of ad900x, then you should look at ad1000x or ad2000x. They both use the same driver, but ad2kx made with metal.

You have around $250 budget? I currently own ad900x and dt990 pro 250. Dt990 has a good bass, but It needs good amp. If you willing to go a bit more then I suggest you look at he-400. It has really good details and good bass extension that are well control. If you still want the sound signature...

I would recomment Audio technica AD series. I think ad900x did a really good job on female vocal. It gives coloration to the sound. I enjoy my ad2000x on many anime songs. Not sure about hd650. I hear it need a good amp to make it shine.
