Hello all, I am currently have an asus DS and plan on getting a Fiio E9 to power some new headphones. I currently have the ultrasone DJ1 headphones. I play alot of games as well as movies. So i was looking at some DT880 pro 250 ohms and was hoping to get some firsthand input on what users think...

Just got the DJ1s not the Pros after reading some of the reviews of them on here. at 115$ cant be beat since the 580s are sold out all over. Thanks for all the help roller! I really appreciate the warm welcome and fast response

Well i might go with the dt 990s 250ohm and a E9 and see how it sounds on the dg and look into a DAC at a later date.    on a side note what about a e10 dac/amp combo instead of the DG? 

Looks like I will try and find a place with the 780s and 580s to compare. Do you recommend any other brands like dennon aduiotechnia?

Well the HFI 780s are a really good price at BH as well about 155. But they are backorderd the 680s are about 145 and the 580s are like 125. So they are all right in my price range. I really apreciate all the options you are giving me. THe HFI 680s are also in stock. But just want to make sure...

How would they sound with the DG? I could get them and save for a HD or STX. Or should i be looking at the HFI780s that are about the same cost. Only thing that worries me about the open is no bass during explosions in games or movies.  Quote:
