Yes this is good advice.  I also find the price tags on the cables hard to swallow.  1 day soon I will try an expensive and exotic cable and if I don't hear a noticeable difference in A/B comparisons I will be able to sleep easy knowing I won't ever have to spend anything on aftermarket cables...

I imagine it would have more benefit for those transports/dacs which don't have seperate power supply.

Can some1 tell me if it is worth getting the msuiland 02 as just a digital transport? Or would the 01 do the same job for less money? Is the power supply the only difference between the 2 as far as serving as a digital transport? I don't have any need for the DAC or amp sections.

I guess the musiland 02 and the firestone bravo are 2 of the main contendors as at least I know they will both work with the dongle... not sure about Audio GD DI or the M2Tech
