Seeking headphones with fullbodied midrange and authorative sub bass
The W1000X strong points are the mids and bass... similar to the LCD-2 but not as good. The W1000X sometimes exhibits bright treble which is the area which I like the LCD-2 much better because it has a smoother treble but without sacrificing the detail.- bauerpower

Audeze LCD-2 Orthos
Yes this is good advice. I also find the price tags on the cables hard to swallow. 1 day soon I will try an expensive and exotic cable and if I don't hear a noticeable difference in A/B comparisons I will be able to sleep easy knowing I won't ever have to spend anything on aftermarket cables...- bauerpower

Musiland Monitor 02 US
Can some1 tell me if it is worth getting the msuiland 02 as just a digital transport? Or would the 01 do the same job for less money? Is the power supply the only difference between the 2 as far as serving as a digital transport? I don't have any need for the DAC or amp sections.- bauerpower

Firestone BRAVO 24/96 USB transport w/o drivers + reclocker?
I guess the musiland 02 and the firestone bravo are 2 of the main contendors as at least I know they will both work with the dongle... not sure about Audio GD DI or the M2Tech- bauerpower

Firestone BRAVO 24/96 USB transport w/o drivers + reclocker?
I have ordered a Adum4160 dongle (but its the 1 without the external power supply) I will be using it with the Valab TDA1543 NOS DAC. My next likely upgrade will be a digital transport to go between the dongle and the DAC? Is this a logical step to take or would it be considered overkill? I...- bauerpower

USB->SPDIF Converter For Valab Chameleon DAC?
Hi I am wondering if this dac will improve buy adding a digiatal transport into the chain. At the moment I am just connecting it str8 to the USB of my PC and it sounds good. It seems like the marked is pretty crowded but I need 1 which has an external power supply and clocks under $200. I...- bauerpower
