I don't think the OP627 will be a good fit for this circuit these Op Amps are high voltage part (+/-18V), and are not RRIO (rail-to-rail input/output) so the headroom will be minimal (+/-1V maximum output...) And there are very expensive!- babs

I didn't test the OPA1611,( too much work for changing these OP ) But they seem OK for the application I choose the ADA4897 mainly for their output current drive power; 80mA (vs less than 40mA for the OPA) I have low impedance IEM, so the current drive of the amps is important for me The ADA...- babs

For the LO decoupling Cap, I don't think that the value of the cap will be so important, I change an 68uF Oxicap for an 220uF Poscap without big sonic différences These amplifiers drive an high impedance load, no need for lot of current I think that the main différences will be the ESR and the...- babs

The dual differential OP amp must be an RRIO (Rail to Rail I/O) low voltage amplifier, the MUSE8820 is a high voltage amplifier (+/-3.5V to +/-16V) And he is not RRIO at all, so I don't think it will work, and if it work, it will be at the limit, not recommended...- babs

No, I change de LO decoupling cap for a POSCAP: 6TPE220MAZB (220uF, 6.3V) this is more capacity than the original cap (100uF) but all seem OK, power supply didn't crash at all Not sure of the improvement, maybe better separation, but Its just an impression I buyed 10 of these caps, so...- babs

I am already changed the HO decoupling cap; the 3x47uF oxicaps are gone and I put one 330uF 10V POSCAP (#10TPE330M) This cap fit nicely to the original pads Bass seem tighter, and go definitively lower For the HO OP amps, I recommend the model I put on my DX50: the ADA4897-1ARZ For the LO...- babs

So guys, a new Capacitor test Update I am curious to try the "famous" Panasonic FC and another new type of cap In my first capacitor tests (check post #6), I try: - Jovial 220uF 10V (original capacitors) - Nichicon FW 220uF 10V (#UFW1A221MED1TD) - Nichicon F95 'MUSE' 220uF 6.3V...- babs

I use an IE8 for 1 year with my DX50 (with differents level of mods), IE80 is almost the same They sound good, but bass is...too much, bloated, hiding the details with a custom cable, sound is much better, better mids and treble, but bass is already here, somewhat bloated But the soundstage...- babs

I Just read all this Modded Shagrathborgir story.... When I solder the differential amplifier on my DX50 (the smaller one with lot of solder), i also have a intermittent pop sound I fund the problem: one of the OP AMP pin have a cold solder the pin really seem soldered, but with a 20x...- babs

Congratulation! Shagrathborgir! Hope you will pleased with the result Yes I try some others OP amps, But due to the risk involved in each change, I limit my choice to the best components I already try on my other rigs mods But maybe, there betters amps to try, but not by me... Still unsure...- babs
