Curious if a fellow headfier got these?

hybrid drivers are honestly a weird choice since a lot of manufacturers have proven both electret and dynamics only can provide great results, I have akg k4 and found it just sounds fine, not bad but not worth the effort to drive. And k4 supposedly doesn't have unmodified k340's crossover issue.

They have a hd600 review, its in Korean only though, but I am more and more convinced a lot of the people are deaf

Some of the first Sony headphones are open backed, like the DR-55 that was used for binaural recordings lol. Recent Sony studio monitors other than ex800st are closed back though so I guess that's where it came from.

Did some comparison with ATH-8 out of the same converter box, I would say ATH-8 is overall better constructed and has better technicalities, ATH-9000 excels at bass quantity and has an edge in dynamics. For now they won't replace ECR500 in my main headphone setup but there are definitely some...

You are right, I switched to beyerdynamic verlour pads after a brief period due to comfort, the degraded pads are definitely bassier.

Cool, I am quite happy with az60 overall, wish it has a bit better layering and soundstage though. Might jump on these once they are available in Canada.

Might just be my pair but the soundstage and seperation on the CD1700 leaves a lot to be desired, especially when it comes to complicated electronic like artcore.
