You should probably leave it in. The mod does squash the pads, and they don't reform after a while, and there is at least one other set coming that is not modded.     Mine.

I've only ever used cheap on-ears. My brother has some Bose ones, but I don't really know about the comfort since I've only ever used them for a short amount of time. So I, also having glasses, associate on-ear headphones with ear-pain. I've also only used cheap circum-aural and in-ear phones...

You'll loose performance and I'm not sure that it will provide that much of a benefit. I'm not certain of the audiophile buzz about DACs, but the technical specs don't seem much different.

Honestly, my understanding of most gaming audio is trying to get a good headphone for it is trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Even in Counter-Strike:GO, which is a game that implements sound as a critical part of the game, is not only glitchy, but is also poor in it's directional...

I don't know if this has been asked before, how is the durability on these? Not like how much abuse they could take, but if they were put in a case and carried around, how would they last? How strong is the connection between the metal and top part of the headband?

Personally, I really want to hear the M-100s. Unless I just get some before then . . . but, but, but. So many choices.
