Michigan Spring Meet-Up 2013 (APRIL 20TH @ MSU KELLOGG)
You should probably leave it in. The mod does squash the pads, and they don't reform after a while, and there is at least one other set coming that is not modded. Mine.- AzureBeat

Help a Fisherman
I'll honestly give my opinion on this, and I really think you should save money to get a proper set of custom IEMs. 1964 ears IEM's claim -26db of isolation. But as far as customs go, I think I would really consider saving up for an audiologist to do it. It's often worth the money to make sure...- AzureBeat

Sony has new headphones, MDR-1R
BTW, if you were asking if it would work in a port that was sound-only, then yes it will. I don't know about the mic. To get both you need the adapter.- AzureBeat

"Mad Dog" by MrSpeakers, modified Fostex T50RP review
I'm going to pop in and say that the D2000 probably isn't worth the price they're commanding since they've been discontinued. I can't think of any equivliant, but up to $300 for a used headphone that cost less than that new . . . Eenope.- AzureBeat

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I mentioned it in a different thread, but the directional cues you get are generated by software, not by the response of the headphone. The 'phone will signal a little differently, but the main soundstaging takes place in the creation of the audio signal, I.E. binaural recording works on all...- AzureBeat

On Ear versus Over Ear comfort?
I've only ever used cheap on-ears. My brother has some Bose ones, but I don't really know about the comfort since I've only ever used them for a short amount of time. So I, also having glasses, associate on-ear headphones with ear-pain. I've also only used cheap circum-aural and in-ear phones...- AzureBeat

The Nameless Guide To PC Gaming Audio (with binaural headphone surround sound)
You'll loose performance and I'm not sure that it will provide that much of a benefit. I'm not certain of the audiophile buzz about DACs, but the technical specs don't seem much different.- AzureBeat

V-MODA M100 good for gaming?
Honestly, my understanding of most gaming audio is trying to get a good headphone for it is trying to make a silk purse out of a sows ear. Even in Counter-Strike:GO, which is a game that implements sound as a critical part of the game, is not only glitchy, but is also poor in it's directional...- AzureBeat

"Mad Dog" by MrSpeakers, modified Fostex T50RP review
I don't know if this has been asked before, how is the durability on these? Not like how much abuse they could take, but if they were put in a case and carried around, how would they last? How strong is the connection between the metal and top part of the headband?- AzureBeat

Michigan Spring Meet-Up 2013 (APRIL 20TH @ MSU KELLOGG)
Personally, I really want to hear the M-100s. Unless I just get some before then . . . but, but, but. So many choices.- AzureBeat

Thanks for all the suggestions so far. I'm pretty bogged down in schoolwork right now, but I'll try and update the first post as soon as possible.- AzureBeat
