I'm thinking of getting the x7i. I haven't seen any reviews for it yet though, so that's what's holding me back. Can you tell me how it compares to my Etymotics HF5 sound-wise?

The wire got wrapped around a pole while I was on the bus and the HFs got ripped right out of the jack. After inspecting it for damages, I found that the cable got split, exposing the wire.
