Before i destroyed my previous phone i used to have multiple micro SD's with 320Kbps music on, you could consider doing the same and just switch between them.   Just remember to label the boxes or you get easily confused when they look the same.

packing away isn't the biggest problem as i'd usually just wrap it around the neck or a seperate bag.

Every once in a while when I have no other option I use my gaming headset (siberia v2 by steel series) I listen to volbeat, the bass and their deep voices goes perfectly together with that headset.
