VSONIC VC02 Thread
Quote: I currently have the VC02 and previously owned the MH1C. The VC02's bass is nowhere near as boomy as the MH1C. Even out of the box I daresay it's almost as clean and tight as the GR07.- Azathoth

VSONIC VC02 Thread
I received a complimentary unit of the VC02 earlier today for review, excited to put them through their paces. I'll have to do the recommended 100 hours of burn-in as stated on the cable tag I guess, before making a final assessment. Anyway, out-of-the-box impressions are already very good, I...- Azathoth

Great job on the Metal-Fi site as of late guys, lots of great content. I've now added it to my bookmarks. :) -
VSonic GR07 Bass Edition Impressions
I wouldn't call it a hump, just a bit more emphasis in that area. The pervasive low bass presence is still the focus. It doesn't detract from the overall signature at all. Nowhere near as bad as the IE8's for example. YMMV - everyone's ears are different, for example while I see a lot of...- Azathoth

Why does my new V-Moda M-80 sound bad on some tracks?
The M80's aren't exactly the most forgiving headphones, they're quite revealing of poor quality source material. As previously posted, try higher quality direct from the CD rips (VBR V0 or 320kbps mp3, FLAC/ALAC is the best) and not transcodes.- Azathoth

VSonic GR07 Bass Edition Impressions
I've been listening to the GR07 bass ed for a long while now, so I'd estimate it has around 300 hours on it. It definitely has a wider genre bandwidth compared to the MK2, some of the death metal recordings I listen to (particularly the underproduced ones) definitely benefit from added heft and...- Azathoth

So Good It Makes Metal Fans Drop Like Flies
I see no point in a thread title like that, taking a shot at metal fans, apart from trolling. Did they kick your dog or something? Would you also like to tell us why it's one of the best records ever released? I like the New York Dolls a good bit too (Paris Burning FTW). Your opening post... -

Best Album Of 1980
Three-way tie for me. Ace of Spades is a sleazy good time (though not Motorhead's best album IMO), Maiden's debut is awesome punkish NWOBHM, and the virtuoso performances on Di Meola's most indulgent album, nothing short of brilliant. @OP, care to post more info... -
