First CIEM Recommendations please - hybrid (which one?) or BA (how many drivers?)

Quote:   Well you said it at the beggining, more drivers does not mean better sound. I mean look at the FitEar 334, it costs >$1300, is universal and has 4 drivers but go to the FitEar 334 appreciation thread and I'm sure that quite a few people who are lucky enough to own them will say...

    W4 versus UE900

I've been listening to the 900's exclusively for ~3 days, and while I have not heard the W4, I'll throw in my 2 cents and say that the bass presence on the 900's is a bit underwhelming. In fact, this is one of the first things I noticed when I started listening to them. I 100% agree with tinyman...

Ah, I see. I really like the sound that silicon tips produce but they get uncomfortable after awhile. Comply foam sounds a bit muffled in my opinion. Either way, looking forward to both yours and swim's impressions on these soon, as you would both have had the opportunity to try the 4.ai as...

Ditched the triflanges and went with the comply foam(took some getting used to). These IEM's are a joy when it comes to vocals and acoustics. It's missing a bit of "sparkle" at the top which is something I really liked about the A151's and A161's by MEELEC.    I haven't had any other IEMs...

Will This Be Called The Westone "Epic" Tip?

These look nice, but it's a shame that the nozzle seems too narrow for the 900's. I've always preffered silicon over comply up until very recently. The one problem I have with the comply foam is that i feel like some of the treble and midrange sounds like they  are being muffled compared to the...

THE best female vocals? (your favorite female singers)

I believe Serena Ryder is relatively unknown in the states(she's from Canada). I'm loving her voice, very powerful.

    Loudest Bass IEM

I listened to the Atrio MG7's a lot a while back using the same code that H20Fidelity posted(that promo has been going on for awhile now, eh?), and I can definitely confirm that these have ample amounts of bass in great quality. Great for listening to electronic and hip hop. I however have not...

Had some time to listen to these, and I must say I am very impressed!   I decided on using ME-Electronic's triflange tips. Comply tips have always given me problems   Initial Impressions(please keep in mind that I've never been too good at describing what I'm hearing with words :p) :  ...

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread

Just got mine in today at the office. I'll wait until I get home to open it up. I won't do a review or anything like that(I'll leave that up to the professionals ;)), but I'll post my first impressions.   ~6 hours left. Now, I can't do anything productive at the office

Just pulled the trigger on these this morning and ordered directly from Logitech. I was considering getting an entry level custom IEM, but figured I'd rather not deal with the entire process it entails for now.  I'll post my thoughts once they come in.

    Help 130 bucks to spend

If you're looking for nice bass, I can recommend the Atrio M5 MG7's. Especially since you can currently get them at half price($99.99) by using coupon "CostProg50%" at http://atrio.me.
