Absolutely the best headphone I have used for sound and comfort. One thing all 7506 owners should do is to change the earpads. Very comfy with the sheepskin ear pads. Sound is as good as it can get. Can wear for hours with no discomfort.

I just hooked up my rs170 to the analog output from my hd tv and the sound is sonic bliss. Clean, rich full sound very happy. Movies, games and music all sound spectacular. I just do not understand why people are having sound problems all the time. Thus is so simple to set up.

If you have or are planning on getting the rs170's. First thing to do is get the valour pads. No more annoying sweaty ears. Very comfortable and sound much better.

Watched" The Crow" man that is such a good film. Branden Lee is so amazing in the movie. What might have been if he didn't die so tragically. Just love the look and tone of the movie. And the soundtrack is awsome. A definite 5/5

I didn't like the m50x because of too much bass and lousy soundstage. But someone mentioned of a mod on this can by removing a large piece of backing inside the driver. I did the mod and to my surprise I have a completely amazing sound signature. This greatly improved the sound for me...

I would go with my favorite headphone and pick the Shure 440. It's an older headphone but the sound signature is my favorite. Great soundstage and very comfy. And you can get it for about $150 and probably cheaper.

After trying other headphones both closed and open these headphones really have excessive bass. And also a tight clamping force. And a lousy soundstage these are really overrated.
