There must be something wrong with your unit. Mine is connected to my WM1A. I would not listen to the WM1A without it.

I'm pretty sure @Rob Watts stated elsewhere that the Hugo 2 in desktop mode gets power directly from the charger and the batteries are for dynamic bursts. Edit: I realized this is what you mean by batteries "not bypassed." Thank you.

Thank you for the quick reply. So if Hugo 2 has x2 batteries and run in series, it should have 7.4 volts in juice. Close to the Mojo output. But it again begs the question since now, the voltage input of the USB power port is only 5volts.

I think I have narrowed down the problem to the coaxial output of my NAD C565BEE. But I have not figured out exactly the cause. If I use coaxial direct from DAP to T2P it is ok it can play 192khz. But if I pass it through the optical input of the NAD then output coaxial to T2P, it cannot play...
