Thomas, I just use the headphone out. Can you tell me which Sony model does not compress the sound ? Some friends tell that that the sound of Panasonic is more natural. My preference is vocal.

Any comment on the sound quality of this new 790 vs the 780 or 570 ? I want to buy a PCDP with good analogue sound as a gift. I learnt from previous email that 780 and 570 is good for not compressing the sound.
